- Approval of claims can take a few weeks depending on the defect, the cause, and the manufacturer.
- Approved claims get replacement parts shipped from the manufacturer within 3 business days to us.
- All units will have to brought to the dealership and upon repair will have to be picked up.
- If you’re not local, you’ll need to bring the unit to Jaguar Power Sports, or we can help you find a local dealer/shop for repairs, in which case, we will ship the part(s) to you.
Delivery and Shipping Policy on Vehicles
The vehicle that you purchased is greatly discounted compared to purchasing a Japanese vehicle from a local dealer near you and therefore there are some tradeoffs for this discount as defined below. Buying from a OEM dealer, you are purchasing a legacy brand, but it is very expensive, and aftermarket parts are VERY expensive. The unassembled crated vehicles, when shipped, are well protected with a crate. However, as adults, we are all aware of the work ethic in the USA and people in freight logistics companies can be careless with handling products.
These are not Jaguar Powersports employees, and we have no control over these people and companies. If you are getting a crated unassembled vehicle shipped by an 18-wheeler trucking company, then Jaguar Powersports accepts no responsibility for damage that occurs during transit, and this damage is not covered under our warranty. We strongly advise against getting your vehicle shipped unassembled in a crate due to the factors above. There is a high chance, perhaps 10 to 20% or so, that your vehicle will receive some damage in transit shipped in a crate. We recommend that either you pick up the crated vehicle at one of our warehouses or we ship the vehicle to you assembled by a car hauler. In the event that you choose to have your vehicle shipped crated, you are accepting responsibility for any repairs needed from shipping damage. Jaguar Powersports will work diligently to provide replacement parts for any broken or non-usable components.
If you choose crate by freight, you are agreeing to have your product shipped under these conditions, knowing there may be minor scratches to the paint in some areas or other relatively minor cosmetic damage. You are agreeing, in exchange for the greatly discounted price, that you will locate matching paint and repair any minor scratches yourself to your satisfaction or use as is. Thus, minor scuffs and scratches are not covered under the Jaguar Powersports warranty.
With the exception of a vehicle which is damaged so badly in transition that it is a total loss, you are agreeing to take possession of unassembled crated vehicles shipped by 18-wheeler trucking companies regardless of damage and to work with Jaguar Powersports to repair any damage. In the event of a vehicle damaged so significantly to be a total loss, you are required to contact Jaguar Powersports immediately, while the trucking company is at your location, and send us pictures. If we agree that it is a total loss, you are to refuse the shipment, take pictures, and we will file a claim together for replacement of the vehicle by the trucking company.
In regards to assembled vehicles shipped by a car hauler, Jaguar Powersports goes to great lengths to ensure that there is no cosmetic damage, and you understand that over 99.5% of our assembled vehicles are delivered void of any cosmetic damage to plastics or other non-paintable components. However, some small percent of vehicles may have some very cosmetic damage. In the unlikely event of cosmetic damage of this nature, you are agreeing to either repair it yourself or live with the product as delivered in exchange for purchasing a greatly discounted product compared to purchasing a Japanese made vehicle from a dealer near you. In the unlikely event of a minor cut in a seat, you agree to repair it with a repair kit that can be purchased for a few dollars via an online search.
Repair Policy
At Jaguar Powersports we pride ourselves on providing top-notch vehicles and support for our customers. However, it’s important to understand the nature of the products you’re purchasing. When you buy from us, you’re investing in a complex mechanical-electrical motorized vehicle, which inevitably may encounter issues over time. We offer technical support to assist you with repairs, but it’s essential to recognize the limitations of remote troubleshooting. Effective communication and technical competence, whether from you or your chosen mechanic, are crucial in resolving issues efficiently.
Let me share a recent incident with you to illustrate this point. We had a customer who experienced difficulty starting their new ATV. After days of troubleshooting, it turned out that the battery simply needed to be reconnected due to shipping vibrations. However, poor communication from the customer led to unnecessary frustration and false accusations towards us. We understand that mistakes happen and defects may occur, especially during the initial period of use. It’s statistically common for products to encounter issues within the first usage, and our aim is to assist you through any challenges you may face. In the event of engine issues, rest assured that we boast the most capable Chinese vehicle engine department in the USA.
Whether it’s troubleshooting over the phone or sending the engine to us for evaluation and repair, we’re committed to finding solutions to technical problems. When purchasing a vehicle from us, we urge you to be realistic and consider potential issues. While the probability of encountering problems is low, it’s essential to factor in the possibility and plan accordingly. Whether it’s arranging repairs, sourcing parts, or seeking assistance from local mechanics, we’re here to support you every step of the way. Ultimately, while our vehicles are of excellent quality, it’s important to weigh all factors before making a decision. And remember, should you encounter any challenges, we’re here to help with patience and professionalism.
Parts Warranty
The 90-day Manufacturer Defective Part Warranty covers any issues related to faulty parts that arise within the first 90 days after you purchase the product. If any part of the product malfunctions or doesn’t work as intended due to errors in how it was made, the manufacturer commits to fixing or replacing that specific part at no extra cost to you. It’s important to note that this warranty typically applies only to parts that have malfunctioned because of a manufacturing flaw; regular wear and tear or damage caused by mishandling might not be covered.
If you encounter a problem with a part that you believe is due to a manufacturing issue within the 90-day period, you will then go to Jaguarpowersports.com and submit a Service request. You will receive a phone call or email within 72 hours, and defective parts may be requested for review. Once a claim is approved, the replacement part will be shipped out within 3 days by USPS or UPS ground. If you’re not local to Jaguar Power Sports or not willing to bring the unit to them, additional arrangements may be necessary.
Warranty Exclusions
Please note that our warranty excludes any failures not caused by defects in material or workmanship. This includes labor costs, accidental damage, normal wear and tear, abuse, corrosion, and specific parts such as tires, CJC boots, oil filters, clutch linings, clutch wear, part cables, air filters, oil changes, light bulbs, brake linings and pads, chains, drive belts, spark plugs, switch assemblies, torn or punctured upholstery seats, batteries, sprockets, fuel switches, full sets of electronic components, bumper plastic fasteners, decals, wire harnesses, and fender gaskets.
Minor cosmetic damage due to shipping, like small scratches on plastic, is also not covered. However, in the rare event of a cracked or missing mirror or similar issue, we will promptly send you a replacement part.
